Simply because I happen to agree with her, doesn't mean in the slightest that I am 'on her balls'. You are most active in this section of the forum it seems, so how can you even question my input in an arguement I apparently have nothing to do with? I took an insult to what Maj said, and therefore I'm laying my opinions down. You dont like it, gtfo Now, what you are saying doesnt even make sense. She took offense to what he was saying, so when she did ask him to stop, he questioned it.. Why would the reason why she asked him to stop need to be pointed out? It should be blatantly obvious that he had insulted her. As you said though, not everything is bluntly obvious to people. But frankly, even if she had have told him that she was insulted, can you really see him stopping it? My money is on further insults and 'jokes' bieng thrown around. Yes, you do take ---- too far, but I have never once seen you apologise.. Perhaps you do it behind closed doors by PMing the person, hell, I dont know. I dont care either. I may be ignorant of many things, but one thing I know for certain: You are still an ------. You still post around the forum acting like the 'big-i-am' and like a total dick, and why is that? To show off to members, 'Hey, I'm admin, I can do whatever I want because that is how awesome I am. Look, a pregnant woman, oh, someone insulted her, oh, she took it too far' etc.. You abuse your admin powers, so regardless to how much you do for the site, you still shouldn't be an admin. You should have been removed a while ago. Onto Majin. Cool, he behaved for a while! Good job. I'm sure they do a medal for such awesome behaviour! Allow me to make a point now. What about all the members who HAVENT broken the rules, yet still get bullied by you, and insulted by people like Majin? They leave. Its like, some of the admin of this site seem to condone idiodic behaviour like that, and allow it.. Why is that? I thought we were trying to get a decent community going, not a forum where people are free to insult people left, right and center.. You may well put in a lot of effort, and you may have been a loyal member for a long time. So that gives you the right to be a dick to people? You may not be a bad guy off the forum, but on the forum you are an ------. Why you feel the need to go around with this attitude I'll never know, especially if you really are a decent person. Just because you put in the effort you have into the forum doesn't give you the right to freely insult people or allow people to be insulted. You are a ------ing admin, you should be PREVENTING ---- like this, not agreeing with it.. Seriously, if anyone can name another forum where there is a large difference in cultures and gender that has an admin like you, I would love to see it. A forum should not have a sexist, racist admin.. And perhaps even if they are, in any normal world that admin would and should keep his mouth shut about things like that, simply because it doesn't encourage members to join, but pushes them away. Maj may be right: GR might fail without you, but frankly dude, it is failing with you too. Yes, it would appear I am an ignorant piece of ---- eh? I cant read minds, genius. The thing about it is though, you are an ignorant piece of ---- too, because you cant seem to realise that one of your staff has been insulted.. A decent admin; hell a decent person would have at least attempted to view the situation from both sides before drawing up a conclusion, but you have taken a side purely due to your sexism. I stand by my belief and my opinion that you shouldn't be in any position of power here. I'm done posting here, but if you want to reply via PM I'll be glad to continue this debate.
So we slap him on the wrist every couple of months? Majin has walked all over the staff for far too long. How long do we let it continue? Why do we let him walk all over us? What's stopping everyone else?
If one knows he is a sexist racist bully. There is no point is saying it. Heck, there is no point saying it even if he doesn't know he is. Especially if he is the owner (part owner, I couldn't care less tbh) of this site. At the end of the day, you think the owner is a jackass, but you'll still use the website he has built (or help build). If you hate someone, don't talk to them. If you REALLY hate them, click on their name and press "ignore user" on the option menu. Don't you just love the endless possibilities of the internet? -
How long does it matter when hes ban evading every day because of a dynamic IP? We discussed this issue. Thats the reason why we let him back legit in the first place. @ Wynter 1 - He did stop he, he only presses the line maybe once a month max, and hes very good about backing off and even truthfully apologizing when he is asked to stop. 2 - If you knew anything, that is the reason I was brought on to staff. To be the hard hand. Again, if you speak with me outside of public forums, you would know this. I front being the hard ass, as that is the image I have been brought to maintain as the staff member on this site. I do things other mods can't bring themselves to do, and I support my staff 100%, and people don't question the asshole who makes an example out of everyone. Have you ever realized one of my asshole tactics truly failing to go to the point in which it was directed? I can't think of one. I don't abuse my admin powers, as I am playing the roll on staff I was pre-determined to be. I was brought on because I don't take shit from people, like the other staff members do, and I have no problem having a stern hand. ANYONE who knows me on a 1 on 1 basis knows I am one of the most supportive people you can count on regardless. I have helped countless members of this site (of all member groups) financially with money for RL issues, with advice regarding serious topics, comedic relief, chatting with them on the phone, even going as far as driving to members houses to console them by being with them in person. Don't ever judge me until you actually know me. 3 - The reason I don't care? It took place in the Flame Forum, and didn't continue after being asked to stop in the IRC. I fail to see an issue. Further issue why I don't care? I KNOW that Kirbir takes shit seriously, and lets her emotions get the best of her, and thus, I know she is easily offended, and thus my ability to truly care for her when she hardly tries to avoid being offended is very little. 4 - I have looked at the situation from both sides. Matter of fact, I am generally the one who is PRESSURING majin to be banned. As he has said, he and I do NOT see eye to eye on most things, but in this particular circumstance, I feel the actions taken by the staff were too far, and without valid reason.
You find reasons to ban people you want, if you truly wanted him banned you would've found the reasoning to do it. You certainly weren't one of the ones who opposed his unbanning in December. Disclosure: I also wasn't against it. How was it heavy handed? He can't be suspended. Besides telling him he did a bad thing, is ineffective, and terrible precedent to set. As for my reasoning: Numerous people have been suspended for making comments about her baby. I was continuing my stance on it. I wasn't singling him out. The posted picture was much worse than most of the comments, I had been suspending for. Having something posted in IRC only to get banned, then following it up on the forum. Why is suddenly okay on the forum?
So lets get this straight. Are we not allowed to take the piss out of Kirbir and her baby? I'm a funny guy when I want to me and I can think of loads of jokes relating to this. But I'd rather not say these things if I'm going to be suspended. I'm the kind of guy that like to go out in style lol -
