Ok so I want to get a new HDTV around 40 to 42 inches, but I don't know if I should spend the extra money on 1080p or just get a 720p tv. Heres some of the 720p's I was looking at: http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/proddetai...7486&catid= http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/proddetai...7652&catid= http://www.bestbuy.ca/catalog/proddetail.a...amp;catid=24558 Or spend the extra 300 on this 1080p? http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/proddetai...6860&catid= And I remember hearing its kind of pointless to get 1080p if your not right in front of it and its not bigger than 50inches. I won't be sitting that close to it so should I just get the 720p or what?
if you're using it to watch tv most signal is only 720p so ti really doesn't matter if you're using it as a secondary computer monitor... 720p is low resolution and sucks.
Nah its more for movies and games most of the time. Though I probably won't be able to watch blu ray movies for a while since I won't have the dvd player. Though I have seen two different types of dvd players the expensive 600$ ones and than the 100$ ones? But both say 1080 upconversion? Or is the expensive ones made just for like blu ray and such?
upconversion is basically just enlarging and blurring the image not much gained there. if you're spending cash on a blu ray player just get a PS3. for SD though it really doesn't matter.
The 1080p you mentioned isn't that expensive, i found it's on sale for only $1169 at a deal site http://www.dealstudio.com/searchdeals.php?...4404&ru=290
