Okay well to sum this up i went from 16mil to 22mil/5/8" to 7/8" last night. Obviously i was expecting the burning sensation as per usual, but i think cause i used rubber tunnels they kept streching out while i slept causing me nothing but sever agony! So i had been in bed for +2hours when i decided screw it i'll remove them and put them back in the morning. I woke up to feel my ears giving me pain 10x worse than when the plugs were in, and severally swollen up. I'm wondering what i should do to stop my ears from f.ucking up to say the least. Should i put my 16s back in?(i've done that already), Should i just get my 22s back in? Should i leave all my plugs out till my ear heals? Or anything else i should do?

Picture of my ear currently: http://img146.imageshack.us/img146/1695/picture1508ts7.jpg

let the swelling go down first, think about it the skin is stretched as it is if it's swollen and THEN stretched when the swelling goes down you might end up with a highly dis formed ear lobe that doesn't recover like normal.

[05:27] - jamie;: my ear lobes are already disformed =)
[05:27] - jamie;: ripped and they aint no perfect circle

I worked(apprenticed) in a tattoo/piercing shop while I was a senior in high school...but...that dealt mostly with the actual piercing...not modifying it. Though most of the time we recommended a slow stretch 16-18-20-22? Id imagine this being the least painful...and "smoothest" way to get them to your size. I also seem to remember a plug that helped with stretching...kind of a cone shaped...which could be pushed in slowly over time to help "ease" the hole a little bigger so maybe something like that for your next attempt.

As for now, Id say take either of them out...let the swelling (Infection if any) go down and then see what size fits...stick with that for another couple says then bump it up slowly.

    Holy crap.

If it hurts, it's swollen, and you have to pop pain killers because of it, STOP MESSING WITH IT. Haha. Take it out, let it heal. If there's in an infection(unlikely) then go to a doc. Sounds like you just pushed it too far to fast. Try going to 18 or 20 next instead of making such a big jump. ^_^

Ice your ear. May help the swelling and pain.

I don't know much about it, but I know my sister was into ear stretching. She didn't jump up as much as you, and see was still in pain. I feel for you

I say get rid of it, fill the hole in with silly putty, and forget it ever existed.

Pull both of your ears off and replace them with giant hoops.
