Hey I got WoW a month ago and I have become interested in the expansion. I just have a few questions.
When you buy the expansion do you get a months subscription free?
Does the expansion affect anything in the game below level 60 apart from the classes (I've been told you can travel to the outland at lvl 60)?

    1. Hit level 70, also hit outland at 58.
    2. New professions eg. Jewlcrafting
    3. Become a Bloodelf/Drenai (UNDEADS FTW BITCH)

No you don't get a free month, thats only when you buy the actual game.

World of Warcraft caters to casuals far more than serious players. It offers content to serious players, but your not forced to do it, there still a lot of content for casuals, the only people who waste their life on the game either are awarded by being one of the furthest advanced raiders in the battlegroup, or one of the best pvpers in the battlegroup. Either way, its rewarding. And most casuals will see the same content, it will just take them longer as they spend 1-3 nights of raiding 4-5 hours a night a week compared to hardcore guilds which raid at least 5 scheduled raids a week for 5 hours.

    Play private servers.

Basically you need burning crusade if you want to do anything after level 60.

Private servers suck and are for idiots who simply aren't worth two shits on the live realms.

    True story.

Saving 15$ and going on a popular one, not as bad.

Meh, I don't play it though.

WotLK is coming. When are they going to stop these damn expansions. At least sc2 is going to come out. So I'll mod that. xD

    I agree
I've had my share of private servers and I'd rather gouge my eyes out and spend 8hrs a day playing on live then ----ty ass private servers.

I played wow for like 5 or 6 months and now thinking of leaving it because i'm just bored and my lvl 41 get owned by lvl 35's horde lol so pritty ridiculus and sometimes people in alliance pvp just pee me off so much because they dont work in a team.

so i thinking of re joining my old game City of Heroes and villains. that was a top class game dunno why i left it in the first place lol
