Well it is like an iPod touch.
A friend of mine has the iPod touch, it is nice to listen to music,
look vids, etc... . It has a "huge" display. But if you just want it
for phoning people, it would be a waste of money because it
has really many extra features, simply like the iPod touch.

I think it even has a gba emulator on it, or is able to install one.
So if you want to play gba games / listening to music / looking vids, etc..
    it is good for you.

If you just want to phone people with it it is a waste of money.

But I myself would rather wait a bit until it is a bit cheaper.
I do not really know, where you are from and what the prices are there,
but in some countires it is really overpriced.

I myself have an iPod 5th generation and I am pretty happy with it,
the quality of vids / music is nice.. But I still think the price was a bit
    too high.
It might be that the prices are not that high at you, but I do not know,
    simply it is your choice.

As I said if you are interested in having multimedia functions
    go for it.

Buy it for the features, not for the phone.

He doesnt live in the US so that wouldn't be an option. But zohair, I think go and get it if you can. I have an iPod Touch 8GB thats jailbroken atm and it works great. But theres not a lot of point if your not going to jailbreak it and install 3rd party apps on it, otherwise its the same as another other phone but with a better web browser and os. You can install pretty much a NES, GBA, SNES emulators on it, as well as other fun apps.

Most of the things on there are true.
Can customize ringtones with your own mp3s: That is now fixed.
Can record video: Possible when jail broken.
Can send MMS messages: Fixed now I think, though not entirely sure.
Voice dialing: Possible when jail broken.
Can record voice: Also possible when jail broken.
Instant messaging: Yep, theres 2 ways to do it. Find a website that does it for the iphone, or just jailbreak it and get a installed app.
Can't do fundamental tasks like copy & paste text: I think they are soon going to have it within the next update or so. But still this is very frustrating on the iPod/iPhone.

Pretty much all the bad things of the iPhone were fixed through updates or can be possible when jail broken. Its even possible to run terminal software on your iPod easily, and have mail. Im not trying to sound like one of those big fan boys, but it has made a lot better since the launch.

I have the iPod Touch. It's similar to the iPhone. The features are pretty sweet on both, but it's better to go with the iPhone for the simple fact that you will be getting all same features as the Touch and than some. A disadvantage for the iPhone is the insurance on it (if any) doesn't cover a lot.

That was greatly helpful Paradox, thanks everyone else also. I bought this iPhone and I believe it is awesome, for some reason I am not really missing anything but I think because I am used to the "Nokia" user-interface, it will take time for me to be friendly with this phone! The phone is really sweet for its looks and amazing applications. I'd suggest any multimedia guy to get it and as for the Phone features; It has messaging (you can't forward messages but you will be able to do so after 3 months and that is when Apple would be launching a new software for the phone), the keypad and contacts page is awesome and Logs are pretty good too and you can search after you've installed the iContacts application.

My overall review about the product will come out soon but I'd rate it 8/10 for now! :)
