Slow times happen all the time. What matters is GR continually gets more members, more unique hits per day, and more active in the primary stats.

A lot of the older GR members feel they are too good for this site and move on to 'more advanced' websites where nubs will kiss their arse, or where they are offered staff positions, etc. In general, GR is in good standing at the moment.

I find this especially amusing. I get all sorts of creepy guys telling me they want to come meet me. One guy said he was going to walk and hitchhike to my house.... Of course, when I said hell no, he went "emo."

So many creepy teenage boys to seduce, so little time. ROFL. Jk of course... :P

This site was founded upon certain individual's personalities and certain trends at the time: Llamaman, renders being used in; signatures, LPs, etc., was one of the first sources for graphical/rendering tutorials, etc. Once it lost that edge, it lost it's growth. Not to say the website is dead, it's still a large catalog of past trends, information, and resources - but it'll eventually become to costly for Shaggy to run if it continues it's downwards slope.

I disagree with you dementia. I think a lot of former signature artist, or other members, see the problems in GameRenders - the lack of activity, or wish to try their own ideas incorporated into a website. A lot of us have done it, including yourself. If you weren't an Adminstrator for the website, or hired as IRC Moderator 11 months ago - you'd probably be off on these other websites. I don't think school, signatures becoming less popular (which I believe is false) - have anything to do with the activity of the website.

    Stats still show otherwise Andrew.

And no, I wouldn't, I have been around here longer than every single current member of staff, and would still be here, as nearly all former staff still are, and *most* of the ruby, diamond, and platinum members. Many of those whom felt they were good at signature designing have gone elsewhere, which happens at every other site, frankly and most practically because very few people on this site are able to help those said individuals succeed further into their 'art'.

Unlike when Shaggy bought the website, he brings in MORE money now than he spends, as stats show, even on a more expensive, more reliable server, even with a multiple hundred dollar skin, and much more invested in code jobs for outdated mods being made for, and adjusted to, GR's needs. The site continues to bring in more revenue, more members, more unique hits, and more page popularity on a monthly basis, and until that changes, the variant effect on GR won't change.

Also, as I am sure multiple members found, we are revamping the forum recently, which is most evident at the current time in the marketplace sections, where over 1,000+ pages of topics were reduced down to under 10 pages in total, and we will continue to do this in all forums. We should be bringing in new resources, updates to the gallery becoming one of the largest render galleries on the net (and it will soon be above PR, and it has started much after PR), new tutorials, new competitions, and much more within the coming month or so.

I frankly feel GR is in a much better spot now than it was a few years ago, its just different, and people whom can't adjust to, or refused to adjust to that said change have left.
