I agree...placing text in there would diminish the overall sig somewhat...but it is a somewhat necessary component....I'd try a very simplistic-close-font face...faded nicely but not too much, placed near the render... Then again...looking back at it, you don't offer too much space to place the text close to the render...so maybe towards the outer edges.....
Don't always need text. Most all of my sigs are textless. I don't generally like text. It's like painting a title on a painting. If you don't need it, don't bother.
