It's a little bright around the sprite, but then again, that does make the focal point clear. In fact, I actually like the contrast between the background and the effects. xP However, I don't like the sharper bits around the sprite. It just seems to stand-out too much against it...I'd suggest maybe blurring them a little, and sharpening the sprite slightly? I prefer the sig over the avvy, as you get to see the contrast you've made. Oh, and great flow around the centre of the sig too. Good work. :3
