Just wondering if any of you enjoy modding consoles? Dicussion of modchips isn't allowed, remember.

This is one of my cubes:

I've seen some really cool systems before, I'm afraid of doing something to mine though because I'm inexperienced with it and am fearful that I would break something xD

that gamecube is sick though, really cool stuff

Go for it man. If you have an old cube sitting around. Mod it!
There are some really simpe ones, just chnaing the LED is simple enough.

Yeah. Learn basic circuitry. Google ohms law if you're feeling adventurous. Learn some basic soldering skills.

Of corse, thats the electronics side of things, you can do many things without LED's etc. Such as the lid on my cube, i dremeled that out, and smoothed it down etc.
Personally, i would start small with what you know. I started just by simple things, like chngaing the power LED on my GBA/DS/PSP. They all use 0603 SMD's, which are 3-3.2v.
Get an old system, get out a multimetre to find a good power point. Simple one would be an old gameboy. Not much to loose, and only playing with 3v. Look for some tutorials, and go fromt there.

On the cube. That would be troublesome, to find an extra 70mm in an already tight case :P
I might try a more effective 80mm fan sometime. Right now i'm working on quite a big project with a cube, which involves re modelling some of the case, so i might pop a bigger fan in.

EDIT: in fact, an 80mm fan would be inpossible in the standard case, so we'll see where i end up on this next project :P

I want to mod my PS3 but I'm scared to hell to try it and **** up. It's the old 60GB too so I want to savor that thing... Any tips and/or sites on where I can find some simple mods?

    basically think of stuff yourself

and TBH at this time unless you have cash to blow it's probably not worth voiding your warranty on the PS3.

There is a manufacturer's warranty, that comes with it base, not just the store's warranty.

Nice, my 360 looks like your gamecube, black with the blue, but the blue is in a big X shape.
