Wrote this back in 2005, hope it'll do here. I'll make a few edit to it to bring it up to date.

Name:need for speed underground 2 ('NFSU2' for short)
    Publisher: 'EA' games
    Type: racing

    intro:
The big change between this and last years 'NFSU', is the larger, free roaming map. rather than burning from one manic race to another, 'EA' has delivered a sexy, open-ended experience to the game. You choose your car, speed around a neon-lit city, take mobile calls, enter races, make cash and build up a garage of customised vehicles that anyone would be proud of. While you trawl the city in search for races, you will also discover performance, body, specialilty and graphics shops that let you tinker with anything from weight and transmision to tints and hydrollics on your ride. Pimpin'

    Graphics:
The graphics on this game are neat. Ranging from the car reflectrions, to the flashy chrome and the head up display, you really get a feel for the game. The paint and visual mods for the cars are of good quality, and realistic(ish) water and tire smoke is always a bonus. It would be nice to see more detail put into scenery and other visuals, such as the regualar cars you see arund the city.

    Sounds:
The music in nfsu2 is suites the action packed streets of underground 2, but might not be to everyone's taste. - lucky you can turn off the music, and other sounds such as engine noise, and tire squeel. You can also re-arange sound tracks to suite you. The sound effects in question, are quite nice. Some good features, tire noise, engine rev's and gear changes all add tot he experience.

    Facts:

. race or roam more than 125 miles of open road.
. eight exciting game modes, including the all new downhill drift, street-x and showcase.
. encounter underground races, secret shpps and unexected challengers.

    Should i buy it?
if you like adrenalin pumped full action street racing games then this is the game for you!
    facts you need to know:

    1. larger, more involving free-roaming struture, as you drive around the city, entering races and earning mat respect.
    2. despite the change in struture, the gameplay is still remarkably similar to the first 'need for speed underground.
3.exellent modding experiance as you customise your garage of cars with a hugre selection of licensed and fantasy parts.
    4. familiare race events such as drag, sprint, circuits and drifts.
    5. very nice night-time visuals, with five parts to the ever evilving bayview city.

    summery:
At first it can be a bit boring, and push on a bit, but when you get into the game and start customising your car, it does get pretty damn good.
Like the first 'NFSU' the thills of winning and blowing your money away on fast upgrages over powers you and you could sit and play for hours.
i rate this game a 8.5/10, it is a realy good game yet some aspects of the game lack in realism. but hey, who needs it anyway?
