Would anyone care to explain to me how this:

as response to a C&C thread is worth getting 2 neg reps? I fail to see how giving my opinion on a tag makes me a public target for negative repping.

You basically bashed the signature but gave no response as to how they could improve. It's very easy to critique someone's work by pointing out all the things they have done wrong but when you do you should try suggesting things to develop on.

You are brining the person's confidence down by just pointing out things that are bad. When you critique someone's work you should always start with a positive and then you can end with a negative.

"You did this well but this area could use some work; you could improve by doing this.."

Put yourself in their shoes and I'm sure you'll understand.

 

First of all. This is in the wrong section. Secondly. Giving CnC, means actually trying to help the person out, not just stating this and that are wrong with the piece. Personally I don't really think it wasn't big enough to the extent of negative rep. But then again your "poor" judgment of how you CnC'ed gave you the Rep...Just wait for a staff member to handle this.

 

I don't care if people disagree with how I C&C'd, I just don't think people should go round neg repping me for it. It wasn't a personal attack, and I wasn't trying to be a jerk.

Why should I go to long lengths to word what I say to save people's feelings. I told him what I thought about it, the same as I would have anyone else, regardless of experience, situation, or skill level.

I suggest you guys learn the difference between bluntness and spite.

Perhaps common curtesy is the reason you might like to take a few seconds to reword what you write.. It isn't long lengths at all.

Yeah I suppose so. To be honest, I'd rather be unbanned than continue this dubious routine of creating new accounts just so I can remain active in the tech discussions. However, I think I've pissed around the mods a bit too much for that. You reap what you sow, I suppose.
