Thanks...Just thought of a few more ways to improve it, I'm going to remix the whole thing, when I get the time.

Ummm i really dont like the first. nothing is working for me.

The second needs a darkening layer, and a slight contrast.( text would be better in a impact font i think )

Third and fourth, both look okay but the text and the blending and light could be better.

Good to see some vary in styles.

So I got a couple no votes on my app to BC (thank god I got in though. :D) One of the votes came from Manahan and he said that a lot of the sigs in peoples apps were just whore styles. It basically made me want to prove that I can be different and maybe change his mind over time. :)

Anyways here's three that I've been working on:

It's a new style for me so I basically want to know if it's one I should persue and try to improve on, or try to find a different one to make my own.

1/ its nice, but i think it has alot of room to improve, work on some new blending techniques and colour techniques. How many layers is it? i would guess 15? i think you should consistantly aim for 30.

2/ This is the best of the three, whiles its LQ, and hard to see, its original, has a decent focus point and the text works ( not perfect but its not far off ).

3/ Again with the first, you have alot of bold shapes which in an attempt to blend the render, just cover it. Useing ------ transparent effects is the best way to blend, hence, lower opacity, brushes with soft edges, flow settings along with layer settings. If you use solid shapes it often takes away from the blending and just overlaps, which throws off flow and depth.

Keeps trying, you have great potential.

ikky, you say people should aim for 30 layers each time? i've found that the number of layers doesn't matter at all if the sig looks good. i've seen super-complex sigs with 11 layers, and i've done subtle realistic tags with 70+ layers.

i like the style of the first and last tags....it reminds me of the time when i made one of similar style:

sucky text, but that tag's pretty darn old. :P

"Nice tags manahan. Your current need some color work. Bcoz it has some purple color in it. The monroe sig is nice too. Just make it red not red-orange. :P

But when you lack depth in a tag its easier to build up depth without compramising effect if you use more layers.
