<div align="center"> Unreal Tournament 3 [Ps3] I feel so macho Unreal Tournament is FPS at its basics. Big weapons , big characters , big explosions. Sure , CoD4 and the like are good for tactical games , but you'll never beat Unreal for pure , unrivaled action. -Gameplay UT3 claims to have as many as 7 game modes , but they're all just variations on the old school deathmatch. The addition of vehicles is a good innovation , but only useful in a small selection of UT3's many maps. -Graphics The graphics are just what you'd expect from a game using the Unreal Engine. Shiny bits and bobs all over the place. At times you can see the textures loading on buildings and floors , but that only lasts a few seconds. The weapon graphics have had a complete overhaul. Most of them actually look like they could work in real life. The largest weapon in the game , the Redeemer , has an amazingly realistic explosion. You can actually see it from anywhere in the map. -Sound UT3 has the usual list of soundbytes. The weapon sounds are good quality and theres a small list of taunts that you can use by hitting the d-pad , but theres nothing new or surprising here. Ranks Graphics : 9/10. giblets galore. Sound :10/10. How can you not love the UT announcer? Gameplay : 9/10. Sure it gets a bit repetitive , but its still amazingly fun. Overall, UT3 is a great addition to the UT series and an essential to any gamers collection.</div> First review guys , I know its a bit short but its like 5am and I wanted to pop one out before sleeping. What do you think? ^_^
What I hate about unreal tournament though is that you need the best PC/Laptop ever to play it. If you don't have the best pc or laptop, you feel disadvantaged. Basically the more FPS (frames per second) you got, the better you are. -
That's only if your USING the pc version though , it's out for Ps3 and soon for XBOX 360 , And you can just stick a keyboard and mouse in and use them instead of the pads.
seems good. FYI you could probably just carry this over to the xbox360 and PC since the game is basically the same across them all. Even PC side it isn't that heavy as far as hardware requirements go. Also the texture loading thing doesn't last as long PC side still unsure 360 side, but all still basically the same game
2 year old PC add in $80 graphics card add in $35 worth of RAM... trust me it's not that demanding of a game.
The best thing about UT is that , even if you don't have the best graphics card and it looks like utter ---- on your pc , its still amazing fun to play..
I wouldnt. when halo 2 came out for windows vista, i was killed by a simple group of grunts on EASY because the controls sucked so much. so i put in my xbox 360 controller for windows and played with that one from then on. i also used this controller when i played online. one day i asked ppl on the servers whos using a controller. no one did. when i said i use one, they were wondering and not believing me. i was mostly among the top 3 to top 5 players on most servers. that means its been the opposite of the ut3-setup
yeah, same here. ut 3 isnt like ut 2004 its got great graphics, yeah, im running it on max details without lagging, but its different. i think its boring. there just isnt any feeling that i had when i played 2004. for example "instagib" matches. tried it with bots first to get used to it, but i "missed" so often though it thought it was a sure hit. and other times with the sniper rifle i shot somebodies foot and did a headshot???!!! btw, does it have a music player like 2004 had it? couldnt find it so far...
I have it for PS3. Warfare is pretty fun, and that's the mode I play most often. It's a pity that EU and US players can't play on the same server right now. I hope they release the patch soon.
it does in part depend upon the individual. but controllers are a fair bit less precise in general. Also halo isn't a game which is known for "every shot must be accurate" the whole no recoil, computer assisted aiming thing largely revolves around the xbox controller. Take bioshock for example. Console side I have a friend who plays on hard and says he finds it reasonably difficult. PC side, he says hard is way too easy. it also depends on the mouse you have. a MX518 or Death Adder will run circles around the $5 excuse for a mouse OEMs include with their systems.
