I don't know what you were trying to achieve in this but this is poor.

If you wanted to achieve some sort of vortex with this style,
I recommend buying some ink, a paint brush and dip the ink into a glass of water.

It would give you a much better outcome than this.

This is also a prime example of being a slave to software.

And that post had no learning value what so ever.
Its a post meant to mock, and not meant to aid.

I would not mind if you posted what you did and said something useful, about how to improve, but you cant even achieve that.

This is a prime example of being a jerk

Now can anyone else, that thinks like acrima CnC? And actually post something that will help me improve rather then bring my hopes down.

If you can't take criticism you might as well give up, just uninstall your software,
burn your sketchbooks, change your hobby.

    Like I said,

    - Glass of water.
    - Get some ink.
    - swirl the ink around with a paintbrush or a stick.

You'll get a much better effect than the one you've produced.

Check out http://www.seadesign.co.uk/ and look at the work they did for GF Smith.

They produced the same effect you tried to do. They only used a glass of water, ink and a paintbrush. (and a camera to take a pic of course)

PS: I'm not just a jerk, I am a jerk that knows what his talking about.

no your a person that criticizes and yes im not looking for criticism Im lookng for constructive criticism. If you have nothing useful to post, dont post it, stop spamming with ink in water. I really dont care right now about how people take photos, post that in photography section.

    edit--
And Acrima, i dont care if it sucks, I dont need someone telling me to give up. The posts you made are useless and present no learning value what so ever. Another may crticize as MUCH as they want, but as long as they will say something that can help improve, I am fine. But when you say "Design is poor, give up" like you did is when people get aggravated and begin to dislike you. Post something useful, or dont post at all.

what the heck is wrong with you?

This has nothing to do with photography, what I had shown you was someone doing what you are trying to do without software and better.

I also explained how to get a better effect for what you're trying to achieve.

Open your eyes for crying out loud.

Sorry, but I agree with Acrima.
It just looks like you threw a bunch of filters on some liquefied layers. I don't see much in the terms of flow, and on a plain white background?
I would have picked some more subtle colors, but if you were going for a vortex kid of thing, a darker background would have worked better.
It seems that you have some kind of knowledge of photoshop seeing http://xorndesigns.deviantart.com/art/Wall...reation-7830164 , although it's not perfect.
Learn to take criticism, and stop arguing with someone who just gave it to you.
You are supposed to learn from it, not be standoffish just because someone dislikes your work.

Now I understand why you don't understand what I just said, you don't read.

I didn't teach you how to take a photo, if you actually read what I said,
I said this had nothing to do with photography.

I also told you, you could of produced something better without using Photoshop. I didn't say give up software all together.
