Do you trade your games into stores like Gamestop and EB Games? I’ve seen a lot of stores have “deals” for when you trade in 5-6 games you get 1 free. Is this really considered a deal? Considering video games usually cost $59.99 and you would only get 5-10$ on a trade. Also keep in mind this is pure profit for companies that accept trades. The developers of these games don’t get a dime of the profit made from the trade. So do you take pride in your video game collection or sell/trade them as soon as a new one comes out?
I trade games with other people via message boards and so forth. I don't bring them to stores for money though, they pay almost nothing for them.
I used to trade all my games in back with my old Xbox, but once you've traded a game in 6 months later I tend to get a desire to play said game so... When I got my 360 I made a pact not to trade any in, and so far, kept them all. ^^
I trade games all the time. I mostly buy preowned games too. I only buy brand new games if I cant get them preowned or they just came out. At the moment I'm deciding whether to trade my 360 for a Wii, but I want to play GTA 4 when it comes out -
I keep some games and I trade others in. The ones I trade in are the ones I've beaten, don't like, and/or don't intend to play again. The stores really rob you in terms of value but when I go to trade things in, I'm well beyond caring, I just want something new .
i trade in games that i dont play and wont play anymore. ppl say how u only get a few dollars, but ill take a few dollars over the game just sitting there wasting space.
gamestop is full of crooks when it comes to buying your games.. not only will they give you only $10 for a recent game, but its store credit
i rarely trade in games that ive played but if i get a new game from someone who doesnt know much about gaming (and thus just picks something random to buy), chances are i wont play it and will end up trading it in
i usually keep them... don't play a game for a few years and then come back to it... it's almost like playing it for the first time again. if I do trade or sell games I do it with friends. usually a better deal that way. you get around 75% of a games value and your friend gets a new game in near perfect condition and vice versa
Why the hell would you sell them to gamestop. It's better to keep it than earning a measly 10$'s. Sell it to a friend for more
