Back With A Whole New Problem!

    ok. So when I try to install drivers for my sound card (Realtek AC'97 Audio controller), my computer automatically restarts when the installation is half way through.. Its like my comp doesnt want me to have sound.. Anyone know wtf is going on here?

    Crap, you know, I had the same problem... I forget what I did to get it to work.

    Are you sure you are installing the correct ones? (They can be tricky to pick if given multiple choices, it took me two times to get the right one. =/)

    You can try uninstalling the current drivers, then re-install the new ones?

    Try installing in safe mode? thats the only suggestion i can give.

    I got some advice somewhere, where this guy told me I installed the wrong drivers, which I thought was weird, because it's the computer that finds the drivers and then tries to install them...

    Thanks for the answers, I'll keep trying!

    I don;t know how your driver installation program is setup, but with my Bulldog installer, I got a disc that when you pop in to install the drivers you would have to choose between three options... Installing the wrong one would make the sound not work or the installation not complete. (That is why I said to make sure you are installing the correct drivers)
