Definitely beyond good and evil and black. They are both very fun to play however black ends too quickly for sure.
^Agreed.. I loved that game It may be for the GB( i played it for the Game boy, but apperantly there is a NES version? ) but damn, it pwns :3... Despite the lack of saves.. if i recall correctly. But i still played it all over if i lost :3
the most underrated game is dragon warrior monsters for GBC. great game, and for more recent up-to-date kids, armored core 4 was overlooked majorly,an awesome game if you dont have it,but to even begin to play the epic multiplayer you have to beat the whole campaign
Okami for the PS2. Dunno about it's international success, but where I live I've only met 2 people who have even heard of it. Probably the last great game on the second playstation.
Legend of Dragoon frakkin ruled it! Easliy as good as any final fantasy of its era, and yet so underrated I'd have to say final fantasy 8 was underrated too.. IMO, its way better than #7..
I think Metal Arms: Glitch in the System for the xbox was a really great game. I show it all the time to my friends and as soon as they play a few mins of it they are like WOW and buy it themselves. Its a great game with controls similar to Halo but robot themed and with different gadgets to play around with. It's always Halo this or Halo that so other great games dont get the recognition they deserve. (Combined with the poor marketing on Microsofts part)
no final fantasy is better than #7 at the moment imo. how the hell can zelda, black, americas army, gran turismo etc are under-rated?loads of people play the dam things.. Anyone ever get ICO?
GTR 2 is the most underrated racing game ever. 28 online racers on a track at the same time without lag? Fully customise your car settings? realistic tracks plus you can download and make your own track? Paint your car? Full FIA 2004 licensing? Real weather settings? Real working pit stops? 24 le mans racing? The option is get 50 cars on the track racing? cmon, how can that game NOT be good? - -
I had ICO when I first bought my PS2 and it was an amazing game and an intriguing storyline. The gameplay was unique having the lead the girl around and solve puzzles, it's hard to find a good puzzle game know a' days. Now that was a very underrated game.
Your entitled to your opinion however sales, critics, and most gamers all agree that there are 3 - 4 RPGs which are by far the best games, especially for their time. Final Fantasy 7 (PS) Final Fantasy 3 (SNES) Chrono Trigger (SNES) Super Mario RPG: LotSS (SNES) There are of course quite a few other GREAT games (the Secret of Mana series, etc.) but in terms of their time, those games entirely reigned supreme. I wouldn't be into games at the moment if it wasn't for Super Mario RPG, Chrono Trigger and FF7 (and then after FF7 I played all the FF I could get my hands on).
Goldensun for sure! (GBA) Suikoden was underestimated just because of the way it looked but all of them were GREAT games and challengeing. (PS2) Tales of Symphonia for Gamecube was also another Great game that many people didn't look into.
