I've seen a lot of buying and selling templates, but I'm curious of exactly how to make a template? Is it sort of like making an LP, except making it look like a webpage? Is there coding involved? Thanks for the help, I have no idea at the slightest what templates are and I want to maybe make them because I'm getting no inspiration for making tags EDIT: oh, and if you are willing to sell me a template for LR, pm me cheers, Bucc
It's... Essentially an "LP" I guess, you slice it, code it via dreamweaver or notepad if you want to be difficult and stick it online. You'd be better to get some tutorials read.
basicly its like making a lp to looking like a web page except you want to keep everything you do on different layer like you cant merge the layers because you need to code them to take the links hope it helps

Oh ok, I get it now, when people are selling templates are they selling them already coded or just the design?
They sell them either as a .psd file or a html file (usually). People will state if its coded or not. Templates don't fetch a great deal of money but custom tailoring websites does. There are a few good tuts around and thats where to get started but don't stick to them too much or you'll end up creating un-original work. A good template community is www.clantemplates.com, they give you really useful crit.
