    Ah, another uneducated post.

The 9600GT's performance is mid-way between the HD3850 and the HD3870. As is it's price.

EDIT: Also, venemous, beware of Video driver conflictions. You should have uninstalled the old card's drivers before you removed the card.

I didn't do that actually. That would cause some problems. I also noticed that Ntune was freezing when I tried to change some settings. Sounds like a driver issuse? i'll remove them tonight and see what happens. This morning before work I check my computer rating in the "built in" rating system. My gpu is still rating 4.9. So i'm assuming there is a conflict.

Well for an update. I removed old drivers iinstalled new ones. Still the same thing. Low frames per second. I removed the card and the drivers and installled my 7900 back. Runs great. I think it might be a bad card? When playing CS Source With my 7900GT was an average of 60-125. With the 8800GT was an average of 35-60. The same thing with Team Fortress 2. I'm sending it back and getting a 6400+ and another gig of ram. that will leave some left over cash and i'm going to get a 3870.
