I'm going to buy an external hard drive to connect with my home network. So it needs to have an ethernet connection. I've been looking 'round a bit and this is one that I was considering:

Problem is that I don't understand all the abbreviations that I see on these pages so I can't tell if there is a problem or not. So, My question is: If I get this hard drive will I be disappointed?

Yeah, thats what I was afraid of. I don't have (or know what) linux knowledge but I can use google. So, will this be something that I can figure out or will I be lost and confused?

Well, to end the topic, I did end up buying this hard drive. It works great for what I need it to do but, if you plan to use the WD Anywhere deal, know that you can't share music/video files with that program. If you don't install the software that comes with it then you can share any files within your network. Just letting you all know in case you may read this thread.
