I need a PC built, have to order parts tomorrow, but with this budget, its kinda hard. I need it to be around 300. Preferably ATI and Intel. Need ram, GFX card for regular dvd movies, dvd burner, HD more than 100gb thats not SATA. Motherboard, and a case. Like I said around 300. The less the better. Not for me btw for a friend.

    Thank you

I already did make one for 290. But want to see if there can be something better for the price

I forgot to say not including a power supply.

You might want to consider the XFX 8500GT aswell.
It's not really for games, but you can take advantage of the HDCP playback if you ever get a Blu-Ray drive or HD-DVD drive.
Just a suggestion. And it's dirt cheap :D

if you're going for HD playback... let's just say nVidia is a joke in that regard.

fortunately for myself I don't give a damn but ehh.. regardless this is offtopic and ehh. problem solved.

one thing to consider, get a heatsink if you like silence, else you're probably fine

    also consider undervolting the sucker(CPU).

also for a 1GB build I suggest XP, vista would probably be fine but ehh. RAM is cheap though and going to a cheep kit of 2gb could be possible

also 7vmod the case fans if they are loud

just things to consider I'm too lazy to think now since I'm tired after a long day at work
