I know this seems like a biased place to ask, but I was wondering why you call them "renders" instead of masked images or objects. "Render" is already a word in computer imaging, so why do you guys use it for something else?
It's nice to know there's such wonderful personalities around here Thank you for sharing your maturity and offering such a wonderful explanation, Greasy Pete. I'm pretty sure dictionaries don't accept, "who cares?" as valid reasoning for putting in definitions... I wanted to know an honest answer.
i really agree greasy pete. what does it matter? why is this called a thread? maybe its something to do with how a C4D render is actually a "render", so when people started cutting out artwork, they just went in the same section as the renders?
