sup gangsters. So I'm looking for a decent graphics card and some cheap extra RAM (1GB proffered). I don't want to spend way to much on the graphics card since I'm not a heavy gamer that play games that need really high requirements.. Right now I'm thinking about either a Radeon 9600, or a Geforce 6200A. Price range is about $60 or so. Also for the RAM, I'm looking for pretty cheap, and that you can get even if you're in the EU. If you know any site that sells pretty cheap to the EU, it would be appreciated if you post it here Thanks.
FYI he lives in Sweden and his system has an AGP port and uses DDR1 memory. I'm going to be blunt I know virtually nothing about pricing up there aside form it being pretty high and a guy on a computer forum I go to complaining a lot.
I think you can get some DDR1 RAM for under 50 dollars, for 1g... 2g idk... Cheapest ddr1 i could find i like 100 bucks... Have you considered upgrading your mobo?
motherboard, can get a ------ decent one for around £35 so that should be for you (with less tax) around 45 euros
After that you can get 2g of DDR2 RAM for under 50 usd, you will also notice a huge performance increase.

to get a board supporting DDR2 he'd also have to get a new CPU... admittedly a celeron 420 is cheap, around $35 USD, but costs do add up. though I will say cost of new board cpu and RAM would probably eb comparable to the cost of "overpriced DDR1+ overpriced AGP card" then again I know nothing of sweden's pricing and I can't read that stuff.
yes no DDR1 is out of production. Also DDR2 costs less to make. so basically the supply of DDR1 is drying up hence the higher pricing
yes you would. And getting a new baord would require a new CPu since pretty much no PGA478 boards with DDR2 support exist. but getting a new board would mean that you could get a PCI-e video card.
