    Hello,

I need help in choosing a video card. Both are for the same price, however I'm not exactly sure of the difference. If someone could help explain to me which one is better, I would be using it for gaming.

    nVidia GeForce 8600GT-DDR3 256MB

    Or:

Radeon ATI HD 2600 XT 256MB

    Thanks for the help.

Alright, thanks yea i wanted to go with the 8600, but wanted to make sure i was making a good choice. But, now i have another question. I found another HP computer that has a little bit better CPU and 2gb RAM, however it has a GeForce 7100 instead of 8600. For gaming, will the 7100 still do? I plan to use this computer for a while, so i want to go with the 8600, but it's either the 7100 and 2gb RAM, or the 8600 and 1gb RAM.

    the 8600 is OK
the 7100 just all out sucks.
FYI RAM is cheap 2Gb goes for as low as $30.

and FYI you usually want to wait at least a day before bumping, not one hour.

FYI you can basically add in parts at any time. Installing a video card or memory literally takes under 5 minutes. unplug system, pop open case, insert module an make sure it's in securely, close case, plug in.
