Heya, During the Christmas holidays I went overseas to visit my parents/have fun and they used a recorder and made a DVD for us... So right now the recording is on a DVD-R.... So now in Canada I try to play this on my DVD and released it didn't play... I researched why and it turns out that I have to convert it from PAL to NTSC but I have no idea how I managed to use DVD Shrink to make a copy of it on my PC and I tried to burn it that way (full backup, region free) but that didn't work I know I can play this on my PC but I dun want to show my friends the things I did on my PC (it's just not practical)... did some research and found there is a program called VSO and I tried that... it DID work on my PC but it like cut the recording in pieces... In other words, there are like several Numbers/Symbols and you just click on them and each play... this is depressing as it cuts out some of the fun stuff (for example the neat intro on the DVD - if you wanna watch it you have to watch it as a chapter on it's own and then move to the main menu and select the next chapter... doesn't flow nice at all - I know I sound picky but they are fun memories and it would be neat if the scenes flowed nicely like they were meant to be) - maybe I used the program wrong... heck I wouldn't know since this is the first time I ran into this I am happy that it works at least but if there is an alternative way that I can get it to work like it was originally made Keep in mind I'm a newbie and this is the first time I ever even attempted anything like this
Hrmm kinda confusing buttttt, my only suggestion is did you use RegionFrii? People use it to convert wii games from like Pal to US for the wii :\. http://www.wii-maniacs.com/files/RegionFrii1.21.zip Hope it helps :S. I haven't used this myself though, I've heard a lot about others using it though.
their is a much easier solution than doing a PAL to NTSC conversion, I recommend doing a DVD hack to your DVD player to make it region free. You use your remote to do it. Its like putting cheat codes for video games. Hopefully your dvd player is listed here http://www.videohelp.com/dvdhacks
I just checked for u and NEro 8 and 7 deffinitly offer that feature also Alcohol 120 can convert iso's
