Well I got a new computer and am not sure if I can play Crysis on it. Someone want to help me? Its got a good 500 GB of storage, 2048mb memory, Dual-Core processor, nvidia geforce 7100. Thats just whats on the side though, lol.
to play crysis you need a video card worth $25 yours is worth 10. the rest is fine. to play it maxed out at the xbox's 720p resolution you basically need a $150 graphics card(HD3850) yes xbox fans who say you need a super computer to run it... you can max it out(albeit without AA) with good frames at the same resolution the box 360 uses. you need an insane system to play it at a good resolution though(the xbox360s resolution basically sucks IMO)
Ok, what would the be the most inexpensive way to play it on high? What would I need/not need to upgrade to play on high?
From what I heard, the only system capable of running crysis on MAX was a system with three Nvidia 8800 GT Gpu's. I think it will run on your 7100, but barely....Crysis was WAAYYY over designed for the hardware we have now. It's definitely not consumer friendly.
It'll be the prettiest slide show you've ever seen You probably won't be able to play it on high unless you want to shell out some big bucks. You should be able to play it on medium-high (and it still looks great on medium)with an HD 3850
What about with what i have now? I'm saving my money so I don't want to waste it on a computer thats not even totally mine.
You won't be able to play it. IIRC 7100 is intergrated graphics. Not positive, though. Even if you could, you would have to play it on the lowest resolution, with the lowest settings. Even then, you probably wouldn't get a great framerate.
pony up 250 bucks and get yourself the nvidia 8600 680mb I have that and I run it just barely below the best res the game offers
