Hi, well i need some otehr method to trnasfer 50 gb of data form a server to another using ssh or any other method. i tried sftp is there a gui that will allow me to connect to 2 remote connections and let me transfer files form one server to the other using sftp protocol? anyways thign i have i considered using besides wget.. scp or is there a way i can use wget to transfer all the file? perhaps pause it for 30 mins and let it continue on? i was reading about rsync but i have no idea how to use that any help? my last optiion would be install glftpd and fxp it ;/
FlashFXP can do a SFTP FXP (server to server) transfer but its for windows. If you have a windows box i would recommend that. http://www.flashfxp.com/ Another Options is CrossFTP. It runs off of Java so should be OS independent. http://www.crossftp.com/index.htm
FTP is definately the way to go. I am sure that there are heaps of GNU FTP software for linux. What distro u using?
