http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7gVxALLhdOU Check out my pc build video, i only have part 1 available I will continue making videos of my process in the next following week when i get all my parts. I hope you enjoy them! Also note that my voice is wierd because i caught a cold that morning that should explain the reason why I was sniffing a lot in this video. I was also making stupid remarks, talking like i know everything, well don't mind the stupid things i said such as "whats the point of having 4 pci-e power cables?" or "spoiler moves wind direction!" if you guys spot anything else, just ignore it and enjoy me building my pc. Yes if you can please comment or subscrive, either one is fine, if you want. I will post video of myself showcasing rest of the parts, installing them, overclocking, and benchmarking which i think you guys would find it useful. anyways enjoy.
watching now. Nice PSU. Haven't seen the case yet. edit: dude nice case pick. I would rather have the nine hundred though.
nice PSU. I wouldn't think the PCP&C unit would power 4 highend graphics cards... but say you had a 8800GTX, that sucker requires TWO PCI-e connectors all to itself. so two of those = 4 connectors required. we have somewhat similar tastes... I also like clean and polished looks one thing though, newer revisions of the antec 900 have holes in the motherboard and if you're stuck with an older one, just take a dremel to it, problem solved. this is what case I have
Oh, I know i found out right after someone else mentioned it earlier, I feel kinda stupid, but oh well haha, but you can connect 3x 8800GT for 3 way sli right? btw that antec 900, I would have probably gotten it if the sale for antec p182 was on sale for $90 which was a steal imo. Antec 900 was $100 and i wasn't sure if it was the new revision or not..
I'd think that a 750 PCP&C silencer would be enough for 3 8800GTSes. as for 3way SLI, basically it's a driver mess and it's expensive and it's vista only. XP + dual 8800s is about on par with vista and 3. Largely because SLi scales so poorly.
hey dude, once I am done with this pc, do you think you can help me overclock my cpu, I never tried it but i think it looks simple enough, there are some things I am in question though.
yeh it's pretty simple. Assuming you're going the c2d/c2q route, basically just set your RAM 1:1(1mhz on ram for 1Mhz on FSB, so if your FSB is at 400 then the ram is at 400mhz aka DDR2-800) start out with loose RAM timings(assuming you're using micron or D9 chips in the RAM start 5-5-5) and start with the CPu mutli lowered. basically find your max FSB, then raise vNB a bit then continue. a P35 or x38chipet can do 470ish FSB with +.1vNB then up your CPU multi and adjust CPU voltage as necessary. then tighten RAM, and that's basically it. I'll go into more detail alter if need be.
Remember, only the 8800GTX, Ultra and, I think, the 8800GTS 512mb support TriSLi, as they're the only ones with the dual-tooth SLi connectors. As for TriSLi, as Xlink said, driver support is terrible, which means that it scales far below what you should reasonably expect with that price tag. Also, nice PSU. However, it has nothing on my Enermax Galaxy DXX as far as size is concerned. Mine simply won't fit in anything short of a full tower case. It's actually the reason I bought my Silverstone TJ-09, which coincidentally is my dream case.
I really like your voice. It is so clear and easy to hear. I hate when people make videos and we cant hear what they are saying
watched all 4 of the video and looking forward to the assembling video (if u actually make one) also i've got a question... in the video u said u need to be "ground" so that static wont damage the components... other than touching the metal table i have the whole time... is there any other better way of "grounding" myself?
you'd only really need to ground yourself once. assuming you're in an area that is relatively static free. either that or get an antistatic wrist wrap
