just about the cheapest you can get DDR1 RAM in the US http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16820161161 BTW if you're crazy and want pretty much a whole upgrade for about the same cost... http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16813128078 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...pk=celeron%2bdc http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16820144047 the only thing to make sure of would be that your case can fit a micro ATX board. just throwing that out to you as a consideration...
Im from the UK BTW (dunno if that makes a difference). would this work if I removed the other 2 ? http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct....rodid=MY-058-GL thanks ^_^
nope. the chipset on your system supports DDR1 RAM. DDR2 is incompatible. The reason why DDR2 i cheaper i because it's now produced in much higher volume and due to a few other things it's also cheaper to make(small chips and simpler tracing for the PCB boards due to BGA design of the ICs.)
Right so I have to get ddr1..but any ddr1 will go in ...yeah??? (warned you im clueless lol) Thanks xlink for your help btw ..id +rep if i could
pretty much any DDR1 kit will do for you. The stuff you ahve is rather slow so basically the cheapest stuff is faster than what you currently have.
