Okay here the PC configuration I am having problem with:

    Motherboard

    Graphic Card

    Processor -Core2Duo 2.2Ghz

    2 x 1GB Kingston DDR2 Ram

    Giel 1 GB DDR2 800 Mhz

    Normal Chasis (casing)

    LG DVD-RW Combo

    HDD 80 GB IDE

Now the problem that I have is that whenever I turn on the PC, it shuts down in a few seconds. I don't see any blue screen error, it just shuts down and doesn't turn on for the next couple of seconds. I showed it to one of the Computer shop guys they said that the Processor was not supporting the motherboard (The motherboard is from England and the Processor is bought in the UAE). Now I checked the processor with the other motherboard and it worked, after that I read the manual of the MBoard and it says that it works with the Core2Duo. The wires are okay, the power supply was changed and still there was this problem. Now what could it be can you please tell me?

If there is anything that I forgot to mention, I am sorry but please help me out with this!

And the Power supply that I need for my PC which the Asus customer support told my brother is 400+ Walt power supply which could provide enough power to the heatsink and stuff so that they don't get heated up

    Sounds like a faulty motherboard.
(If you haven't done so already) Try connecting all your stuff to another PC that supports them to check that they are not faulty.

Most likely it will be the motherboard.

Oh, now that is a bad news cause I already spent enough money on it! Now I will have to buy a new one, can't I add a cooling system?

Its a ---- PSU, and ---- PSU's fail all the time. Replace it and I guarantee your problem is fixed. This happens all the time. Try the PSU with another PC if you dont believe me

450W is enouh for that system TWO times over. My system draws probably 2-3 times as much power as his and I'm running on a 400W PSU.
the issue though with that PSU is that that's a cruddy PSU and doesn't put out stable power.

and TBH I wouldn't know. Probably a board incompatibility though, try the latest BIOS(free and easy thing to do.)
and zohair you basically bought really really poor choices. the 8400 is comparable to a GeForce FX 5700 and when the F 5700 was out in 2003, it was considered a mediocre card.
GeForce 8 series asides from the 8800s suck.

Yes but I don't see how he would be able to install the new BIOS when the system wont even POST

different CPU if it's a CPU issue.

could just be a DOA part as well. test stuff in different systems.

Hmm that isn't the actual PC I have built, I got this one done for a friend but as it is having problems, I might consider changing my choices. Now Zelink, is my PSU ----ty or the motherboard? What should I do? Updating my bios would help?
