Okay please dont take me as too harsh here mate. First large bit of CNC...scrap the effects on the border. A simple border is always better. If u want a thick border go with a 3px stroke inside, or the oldy 1px straight border. Theres also the horizontal bar movie borders. But keep these for your future. Render wise, try not to destroy the quality when u are manipulating your renders. In this peice you have desaturised it and lost so much of the detail. In some cases what you have done here could be used to quite a nice advantage, but not with the background here. Biggest bit of advice: Place your render on your canvas FIRST and work from there outwards. Never slap the render on a background and try to make it fit. It just wont blend the same. I can see that you have a handle on the basics of PS such as filters, blending modes etc. Now try and use them more to create much deeper backgrounds and effects. Study up some more tuts to see how others create things and go from there... Good luck mate, not bad overall but still beginner standard
sorry to dissappoint you there mate but this was an experiment using Fireworks. i deliberately didn't mention it just to see the CnC it would get lol
