Right first i will show you some of my brushes i have made.These are the covers for my sets. I have made 3 overall. 1~Go to a search engine and get a picture that has lots of detial but hardly any text or pictures in it.By pictures i mean anything that you dont want in your brush. This is the picture i used,In my experince i have found that useing sky,grass and a dirt path make very nice grunge effects.I got the pic from google and used the crop tool>< to cut out the section i want to use as the brush. Pic in google 2~ Press Ctrl+Shift+U.This will desaturate your picture which means it will turn black and white and the colors inbetween. 3~Press Ctrl+M Which brings up your curves menu you can also acess this screen by going to Image>adjustments>curves.Try to make your screen look like mine and your image should be looking a bit like mine aswell. 4~Were almost done now! Get out your lasso tool>< and set its fether to 25 pixels 5~Then chose the bit of the picture you want to be the brush. 6~ noe go to Edit>define brush preset and click OK.Now if you look in your brush section it will be the last one. 7~ This is the final brush you have made.It might not look the best here but combine it with others and you will become great very soon.
