I've got xbox live. I made my account last night, it worked fine, me and my friend played as my account and a guest. I didn't realise I had created another profile, instead of upgrading my exsiting one to live. This morning, I upgraded my brothers profile to live, and ever since then Xbox Live keeps on disconnecting. First I tried sorting out parental settings (they were turned on for some reason, so i turned them all off) that didn't work. Then I deleted my original xbox live profile, and upgraded my normal one. Still didn't work. So basically, xbox live keeps on disconnecting, i've set it so it doesn't sign into messenger, and done everything else i could think of. But it keeps on disconnecting. I'm playing on xbox 360 premium console, using up my free month that comes with the console. I live in the UK and i used hotmail accounts to upgrade all the profiles. I've tested the internet connection, checked the settings and they all work fine. I've done the Xbox Live connection test, and every time it says everything is working. So i don't think it's to do with my connection (a wired connection). I've only tried going online with Halo 3 so far, but I can't get onto the market place, xbox live and games section on the dash board when it's supposedly "connected" it just comes up with the loading symbol, and no matter how long i leave it, it stays there. Can anyone help me? I hope i've explained my problem well enough. Someone said on another forum that xbox live was having problems, but i have friends who live around the corner from me are fine getting on and sometimes i can get on, just not for very long. No "go buy a PS3" comments. Thanks
im having the same sort of problem but my live works fine its the dashboard that doesnt load up part thats wrong with mine i just try signing out and in again and usually its fine have you tryed checking the wires at the back of the xbox to your pc to see if there connected properly?
Um...go buy ME a PS3? My friends as well as my brother has a 360, I used to, but no one that I know have had that kind of a problem. I can't really think of anything off the top of my head as to why its doing that, but have you tried calling support for it? Perhaps they have had problems before and know how to fix it. I'll search around and see if I can't find more about it.
