Can you give some examples of songs you currently enjoy playing? That way it''ll be easier to judge what songs will help you.

But some good ones to know are:

    Crazy Train - Ozzy
    Layla (unplugged) - Eric Clapton
Under the Bridge - Red Hot Chili Peppers
Beast and the Harlot - Avenged Sevenfold

    Harder stuff

    Satch Boogie - Joe Satchriani
    More Than Words - Extreme
    Eruption - Van Halen
Through the Fire and the Flames (main parts) - Dragonforce

These are all just random ones that popped into my head. Like I said, post some stuff you already play.

If you really wanna be hardcore, Sultans of Swing - Dire Straits. That guitar solo is impossibly hard...

    .genesis is right. lol

The only thing difficult about that song is like 20 seconds worth of the solo, but chicks will turn their heads...

learn satch boogie and some classical/neo-classical stuff. If you want, look in to things like Serrana (becker) and Malmsteen stuff. I just find stuff I can't play and try until I can do it asleep.

Hmmm ... I need to know what you 'can' play and for how long you've been playing to give you some good advice.

I got some of my old video's posted up on youtube under the username of Shafik69 .

And, because you're rhythm, I'm going to give you some songs that I think will definitely help your rhythmic technique.

Trivium - Dying In Your Arms [an Easy Trivium song, required Drop D tuning, but relatively easy, also try to learn the solo, took me a while but i nailed it in about 3 hours or practicing it.]

Any Iron Maiden song will help, i personally will advise you to try out Hallowed Be Thy Name, The Trooper, Fear Of The Dark and Ghost of The Navigator. Mostly power chords but there's some bits there that can keep you off.

And seeing as how your first song was Crazy Train [which was awesome] - you can try out my first song - Smells Like Teen Spirit :P [including the solo! woot]

    Hmmm... what else is there...

Orion by Metallica, the first part is good for rhythm, regulate your strumming by palm muting to open strum. Your left hand might find it weird, which is good, cause it helps with really difficult looking chords later on.

And if you're into metal, a really really really easy song to get into, that's heavy, and "IS" playable, is Killswitch Engage - Rose of Sharyn, there's no solo to put you off, and its all rhythm. It is a bit difficult but if you can pull this off you'd be proud of yourself.

If you need anymore suggestions I'll be around.

I suggest anything from Eric Clapton since he usually adds in a nice guitar solo of sorts to most of his songs, that and he's my favorite guitarist. You could also try stuff by Carlos Santana. Good luck with it all though.

Cliffs of a Dover, Through the fire and the Flames (most hardest song ever), Rock you like a hurricane, Welcome to the Jungle, Slow Ride, Hit me with your Best Shot, Knights of Cydonia.

Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock, best songs on there.
