You don't need it to boot into Windows, as you can just boot up memtest86 and run it via the bios.

    orthos

if you're crashing while web browsing, it shouldn't even last an hour on blend.
if it lasts a while under orthos, it's likely software related.

if you read closely he says he's able to boot up sometimes, but not at others.

well now its not even dectecting my hard drive..so i think it may be a hard drive issue

it may be cause i installed the raid drives in correctly? would that be a possibility?

    might be your board.

if it's not detecting the drive you've either got some serious RAM, or CPU issues or a bad board.

just a guess there FYI, I can't say with absolute certainty.

here's something you might wanna try take out the cpu (very carefully) and then check it for any bent prongs if they do not have any make sure you place the cpu in firmly and securely cause it sounds like a cpu prob but you have a cpu that shouldn't have any problem running your apps so try that and see if not it is a faulty motherboard

oh and for safety sakes....... make sure you unplug the tower and hit the power button after that to release the remaining power.... don't want you to get shocked! lol ^_^

dude, it's an athlon, not a c2d, they get hot. Right now the AMD athlons are the least energy efficient and hottest running CPUs on the market(atleast at their topend which si where capacitance quickly rises as compared to other levels)

as a matter of fact any CPU pushed to it's limits shoots up in temps when under load. My c2d loads around 50C when I run it at 3.5Ghz...

and temps aren't the issue, it's system stability.
