i have windows vista home basic but i wanna change settings so that i can allow a standard user to install and uninstall programs. i dont want to give the user administrator powers. also there is the annoying thing that their are only 2 kind of user accounts in all versions of vista, standard and administrator. how can i do this? please help
Right Click "My computer" and go to manage Expand the group "Local Users and Groups" and click on Groups Open Power Users. Click Add Type the name of the user in the Box and click Check Names. Click OK and then OK again.
