    cool, thanx :)

but now I'm even more confused- why then some people tell me to blur the background to emphasize the render, while others tell me to make the background more realistic and less blurry?

I paid a lot of attention to emphasize the render, mainly by adjusting bg's saturation and by effects focusing mostly around the render
thanks for comments, but it's hard to decide what to improve when the suggestions are contradicting each other.

ok the best way to emphasis the renderor *focal point* is by taking into account the colors around it to help make it stand out so if you have contraticting colors most of the time it will look weirtf which is what you did but it's not always a bad thing it just has to flow well with the render. but my fail safe way is making the things that are far off and that includes the limbs, or ribbons or whatever is attached to the render that are up closer than what you want to emphasis I just blur those a lot and te thins that are in the back of the render I blur a tiny bit because they are much closer to the render but farther than the focusing point of our invisable lens so to speak.

take my halo one in my sg for example I blurred his hand slightly and then thethings that seemed far off I blurred so by doing that I created a true lens focal oint adit get s the point across with the emphasis of therender as creating a focalperspective is nice like if your render seems to have been angled at a low horizon which means you re looking up at them it's really cool to try to make the bg behind it look asif it is goin the same direction (ie perspective of looking up at buildings in the b and that sort)

there are many ways and don't be discouraged if it's not making sense now just do some tuts that involve some blurring focal techs and keep experiementing that's how we all started out.

1- the whole sig is based on experimentation
2- the render is not angled, and neither is the background
3- I tried the pinkish-purple and bright blue colour theme- those are the colours of the render. that's what I used for all the sig and background. and now you tell me it's wrong?

    wow... I mean... WOW

Dont argue with them...if they see it that way then thats how its seen...you see it in a different way because you made it...but we all see it as weeiiirdd and angled

    yay, I don't argue with them :)

It's an advice I'll try to follow for the future, but it still comes a little weird to me that he suggests me things I was trying to do.
as I said, it is not angled. It's not about how is it seen, it's about how it is. the original image was like that. when I rendered it, it remained like that. and I did not modify the pose or anything.
she is leaning backwards, the image itself is not angled.

Note the emphasis on the word 'trying' here.

Also, just because the original image was on an angle, doesn't mean you can't change it. I often change the angle on a render to either fit more of it on the page without making it too small, or just to aid composition. Keep working on it and do some tutorials. Also, don't complain when you dont get tons of replies. Often i post sigs i spent ages on and i get 1 or 2 posts then it's forgotten. i don't even bother bumping any more.

you know, I need replies, cus I basically need to improve.

I'm new to this section, I'm used to something different when it comes to replies.
And as you may have noticed, I have collected 15 tutorials since I posted the sig, and getting more.

so don't talk about me getting tutors :D

and the fact that I can change the position, doesn't mean I didn't try it.
    I tried.
    and it looked even wierder...
