    In ipb how do you put images for the nav.

    Edit header.php? I don't know for sure, I don't have IPB. :)

    no deff not. i dont think there even is a header.php...

    In Admin CP go to LOOK & FEEL and Edit Template HTML of your skin.
    Then go to All Global HTML then global_board_header and find the nav part and edit in the image with basic html into the nav bar.
