    Nvidia's vista's drivers don't support Geforce 4's.
    Get a new card?

    Vista requires a Dx9 card.
    MX's are Dx8.

download the latest nVidia geforce drivers
    then have a read
    http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?t=171843

basuically your editing a text file because M$ doesn't want nVidia doing it themselves/nVidia wants to drop support for the old cards
