    Hey guys.

so my computer just ------ed up.

when I start it I get to the point where it says "Windows XP" and theres some thing going back and forth.

Then when I'm supposed to get to the login thingy on XP, its just black and I cant do anything.. Can't even start in safe mode :/

Anyone knows the problem and/or knows how to fix it?

    thanks

You downloaded anything after your last successful startup?

Sounds bad to me, I had the same exact thing happen to me. I gave up messing with it and formatted the computer and reinstalled Windows XP ---.

Sounds like something my friend told me his computer had today. If safe mode doesn't work im not sure what to do.

If you have the XP disc you should be able to go in and follow the instructions. Near the end it will ask if you want to clear everything and install a fresh copy or just update your current one. If you go with Update it will leave all of your files and programs intact.
