Hey guys, I have a HP Pavilion Entertainment PC and above the keyboard it has these extra media buttons like, fast forward, rewind, play/pause, stop, mute and volume control. Well on my desktop i see that my volume control is set to the highest sound and it is for sure NOT muted. But on the little media button section the mute button says off. When i hit that mute button it stays mute and still shows off.

I don't know to do to get my sound to work. Most people here at GameRenders are quiet knowledgeable on computers so I would love if you guys could help me out or lead me to someone that can.

Thank you all for reading this.

You could try re-installing the drivers.
Try rolling back to before it was stuck.

Maybe there's a possible disconnection somewhere? (Definitely a last resort, and most likely not the problem.)

It seems to me like its more of an external problem that cannot be fixed by re-installing my drivers. The 'Mute' button above the computer is simply stuck showing mute and it causes the rest of the computer to give off absolutely no sound.

I am not that knowledgeable about laptops so maybe re-installing the drivers would work, but I don't not know how to go about finding which ones to download.
Also how do you roll back?

    Edit: +rep for the help.

    Rollback your computer.

    Start menu>All Programs>Accessories>System Tools>System Restore

Choose a date when you know it worked...but watch out any programs installed afterward will not work.

I second the above, that way you can be sure if its a driver error or not.
