ok, so I got the Acer Aspire...nice computer...BUT...I can not play games on it. The graphics card is really lame and doesn't support ANYTHING. I tried to load Sim City 2000 on it, and it freaked out. Need for Speed 3...nope...the Sims loaded, but i got an error about CPU usage. Is my computer REALLY this crappy? or am I doing something wrong...(yes, ive tried more games, all of which met min. requirements.) but nothing will run. That sounds like more of a fault than a mere lack of power. Even integrated graphics should run the Sim's and Need for Speed perfectly fine.
yea, 2 gb or ram and that processor... My old laptop ran americas army on low with 512 ram and a ----ty pentium m or something. Its probably because of vista + dx10.
Its either Vista or Graphics card, Why not fix both! Spend a couple hundred on 8800 GTS NVidea and get Windows 96!
I agree. There are quite a lot of nice games that you can play on linux. There is a gamers section on ubuntuforums.org if you are interested.
