Title pretty much says it all, Would you prefer Mac or PC? ( if only their was a vote poll ) So anyways, tell me which you would like more.

    - - - -

I honestly would choose PC, just because it supports more games then Mac xD

I see pc as the PS3/Xbox 360: Superior and more programs supported
and macs as the wii: Less powerful but a strong fan base, bright n bouncy :)

    I disagree.

I see PC as the Xbox 360. Cheap and simple, with all the options, and a huge user base. Susceptible to failure.
I see the Mac as the PS3. Much more expensive, less option, and less support and less userbase, but still a strong competitor in many sectors and looks a little better.
And I see Linux as the Wii. Cheapest and smallest of the bunch, smallest fanbase of all, has almost as few games as the PS3, but it's the most userfriendly and intuitive of all.

WTF? Wii is AWESOME! Not saying X360 and PS3 suck though.

Anyways even though I use PC. Mac is better cause it can run Windows using Bootcamp :P

linux is better than pc and mac, is free. >_> plus u can run win appz in *nix with wine and other tools, they wont run perfect but ya..

and bout the topic that really depends on what you will use that computer for... are you a gamer? designer, music producer, just browse the net download stuff, use msn?

it all depends on what you gonna do in that computer.. for designing and music mac ownz for chatting and installing more apps then winblows, if you looking for a computer that has more softwares just my comment.

    umm lets see...

if you choose PC, then you choose any PC...
if you choose mac, you choose a PC made by a particular company...

so you're offering the choice between a specific PC and any PC...

    pointless IMO.

    so literal, xlink...haha

he means mac vs windows. but you know that.

as im sure xlink could tell you very well, i'm a mac man.
    more stable.
    fewer worries.
i have a 360 and a wii already so i dont need a computer for gaming.
    adobe stuff runs better.
i find the UI more convenient (i find that apps are much more flexible with the space they take up in OSX)
    systemwide functions are more unified
    whole lot sexier than windows
    apple has awesome customer support

above all, when people ask me what kinda computer i have, i can say "a mac". its a ladykiller. let me tell you...

OSX being a a UNIX operating system is a fair bit more stable, though in my experience it's not perfect and doesn't recover from crashes so well.

I'm just waiting for M$ to make a BSD based OS and to do application compatibility via API emulation

though asside form that I'd generally say everything you said would be true.

I personally go the winblows + linux?BSD route however.
I find windows to have great app support and to be fairly stable while recovering very well from errors.
I find the bulk of *nix OSes to be very stable, more so than OSX and to generally offer superior performance.

well duh smaller unix-like systems are going to be more stable. opensource means that anybody can edit and improve it. apple and microsoft have to pay lots of money to hire people to make changes. but when you dont buy a mainstream system, theres always the risk of incompatibility with the big two (or three if you want to count the extremely popular ubuntu). as a student i cant take that risk.

    VMware...
    dual booting

between those two the chances of an app being incompatible are rather slim.
