Okay, so I'm buying a new computer, and I need some help deciding in what I should buy specifically

My budget is $2000 CDN, I'll use it mostly for gaming, but not like hardcore gaming, just casual, but I'll also be using it for general use. So some help in deciding what parts would be nice

There goes a nice comp, that monitor is the ---- too (have the same one but only 19 in), I'm not too good with video cards but I know that one isn't top notch, should be good for your "casual" gaming I THINK. Someone else that knows that they're talking about (xlink) fill him in.

Nah, that graphics card will be useless for all gaming. 8500GT's are crap. Right now, go for either an ATi 3850/70 or an 8800GT. Best bang for buck, by a long way.
