First of all: It is a great, original idea and so far it seems to work just fine for me. Second of all: The Wii is not meant for retards. So people complaining they hit their selves or others and/or objects they just fail at understanding how to play on a console. At least, thats how I think about it.
Ever noticed the people who buy the Wii compared to the 360 / PS3? I work at Circuit City, as a Customer Service Manager, almost every 360 / PS3 is bought for adults to be played for adults. Almost every Wii goes to either adults who would make claims like "Macs get less viruses than Windows!", or a child. Its a console built towards the casual gamer, as nintendo has always aimed for, and the low end of the technology sector of gaming (ie, poor resolution, doesn't look great on HDTVs, no HD capabilities, no blu-ray / HD capabilities, etc.). Most of the people whom are intent on serious gaming will buy the Xbox 360 and PS3, and most of them know something regarding the hardware specifications, look to get the most out of their consoles and the games on those consoles. To put it simply, sales is a poor way to judge the Wii, as its main intent was to be geared towards the mass populace, being the casual gamers, where the Xbox and Playstation consoles are geared towards serious gamers / electronically inclined individuals, whom are clearly much lower in populace than casual gamers.
Does anyone else feel that the topic posted by Clash about the Nintendo Wii Mote was a great idea, but totally failed? If you have proplems or complaints send them to Nintendo so we can get spared from the useless threads and posts you have brought down upon us. I mean, if you haven't realised. Wii has sold the most from all the consoles and is the most popular system. Obviously it hasn't failed and no the Wii mote does not change the game experience, it's a good idea that works if you learn how to use it properly. Don't hit yourself.
I was talking about the one that screwed up his expensive hd tv because of the wii-mote issue, unless it was more than one person who did that same exact thing.
I think that the Wii Mote is a good idea. I've never had any problems with my shooting games and driving games. And the person who broke his TV was stupid because he probably didn't put the strap of on.
