Hey guys! I want to build a nice graphics PC and I was wondering if this would be a nice Motherboard and what kind of CPU would be recommanded to work with this along with 2 GB ram which I've bought to go with this. http://www.microdirect.co.uk/(15937)Asus-P...775-nForce.aspx
for last gen core 2 duos(e6300, e6400, e6600, e6700, and x6800) running at stock with NO overclocking it'll do fine. if you want more flexibility then not really. on that same site... http://www.microdirect.co.uk/(17581)Abit-m...A775-Core2.aspx if the cost is too much for you to stomach http://www.microdirect.co.uk/(21206)Asus-M...A775-Core2.aspx
Have you considered buying a laptop? I prefer laptops for things like graphics... You can take them to your friends house, etc..
laptops cost considerably more and are slower and most people usually consider all of their options prior to making a decision, or atleast I hope they do.
and not all laptops perform acceptably given a certain set of conditions either. and he very well might already have one. and trust m when I say this, if you walked into pixar or any animation studio the numbe rof desktop workstations would greatly outnumber the laptops. Laptops cost more for the same degree of performance due to thermal restrainsts. ANd on top of that he already ahs several things bought allready so there you go. also, zohair what's your budget
That is great mate, but tell me... Okay I want to keep the motherboard that I showed. Now what would do really good with it? Does it have to be QUAD CORE or EXTREME?
umm not really just don't expect more than 300FSB or so. if you want to OC with that board, you'de want an e4400 or e4500 sicne they have high multipliers and a low default FSB and FYI quadcore doesn't OC on that board at all. the reason I said the XE was because you can adjust the multiplier, with other chips in order to OC you need to adjust the FSB and again nForce 5 = low FSB
