    1) Guild Wars currency is EXTREMELY easy to achieve, pre-factions I had over 3000 hours played, 3.2m platinum, about 10000 ectos and 10000 obsidian shards in total between a few accounts, have multiple sets of fissure armor on all of my toons (for different talent investments), have them runed and dyed fully, had the best weapons for warriors (being Perfect Fellblade / Crystalline Sword - ie 15% always, no deficit, rank 8 required rare, as well as a perfect Sickle and Dwarven Waraxe). Making that money would take a few weeks max worth of farming.

    2) It was sold to a Shiek (king basically), thus he had the money to toss around and didn't care about its actual value. The rogue in question was the first rogue with dual warglaives in the world, and the single best geared rogue in the world at the time, as well as had the best PvP ranks from both old and new world content (old world content being unachievable anymore).

I remember getting banned from GWs haha... I would sell those coins that looked exactly like ectos for the price of ectos, if people werent smart enough to look before they clicked okay to trade. (Which usually they weren't).

    Because...

    A. There probably rich, and a few grand is nothing to them.

    B. IT BRINGS THEM FUN. If you have fun doing what you're doing, then who are we to judge that person? Live and let live.

100 bucks via paypal says you cant even show it to me in-game ;)

That alone would be the most expensive item in the game

If I had my account anymore I would show you =D. Sold it on ebay for a couple thousand dollars, bought it for about 1.3m platinum and 1000 ectos / shards approx.

The warrior who had it was rank 13 at the time as well (go me, w00t w00t), named Asmodea Axehammer.

Saw a couple of them on ebay sell for around $450 just the sword, but what can I say, when I play a game, I go all out and do what I have to in order to achieve the best gear =D.

Wow.. I play alot of RPGs, and I can't believe people go to the limits of paying that much for it, what has the world become, almost 10 000 so you can get hit less?
