ok I raise my own cows and um they have a better life then I do they get free roam of about 12 acres they get fed four times a day along with a daily corn/grain feed in the morning and they have shelter and plenty of water also their living area is checked for thing that can cripple them (rocks, nails, glass, etc) and then when they are killed they are killed instantly and painless so I would say eat meat as long as they are not in a 6 x 6 cell and force fed and ---- like that.
I'm not a vegan, but i'm sorry, you are seriously retarded, and completely ------ing oblivious to the whole situation. What about women? If they eat only veggies, what are they? Less man? What someone eats has nothing to do with their sexuality. It's all personal preferance. What if someone told you, because you use the internet for more than research, you are less man? That doesn't make sense either. You're somewhat right about Kosher. It doesn't nessicarily(spelling I know) mean the animal wasn't tortured, Kosher coming from the Jewish language and refers to Jewish dietary laws. It does somewhat mean that the animal wasn't tortured, because the animal is inspected, but is also how the meat is prepared, because it has to be up to code when it's prepared, such as salting. There is such a thing as Kosher cheese you know? That's not a need of killing the animal.
Bessy the science cow and her friends are apart of the study that cows cause more global warming than humans in general (I.E. gasoline, fossil fuel powerplants, etc: Methane is the second most significant cause of greenhouse warming, behind carbon dioxide. Bessy, the science cow, and her many brothers and sisters are one of the greatest methane emitters. Bessy’s grassy diet and multiple stomachs cause her to produce methane, which she exhales with every breath. The sheer size of her herds makes a significant contribution to global warming. Livestock lead rice-growing, gas-flaring, and mining in global emissions of this highly potent greenhouse gas. Options for reducing methane emissions go beyond reducing beef and dairy consumption. These mitigation strategies also include reducing methane emissions from mines, gas production facilities, and landfills Citation: http://www.koshland-science-museum.org/exh...cc/causes04.jsp ---- there ya have it if we let the damn cows live you liberals will have to kill them in the masses to save the earth from your false global warming scare
i was joking about the whole being a man thing but w/e second i know there is kosher dairy products wich means that the milf was not take by force i.e. cows choose when they go to the milking machines or its done by hand when the cows come in and yes it has to do with salting and how it is prepared but its mostly about how the product is taken
lol i had a good giggle at this thread. What a load of pure bollocks from both parties. If people want to eat meat then let them, if people want to be veggies then let them, it doesn't make you any less of a person. I will say this though, not all animals are tortured and raised the way some of you guys have mentioned. Yes there are some places out there that keep (lets say chickens) hundreds of chickens locked up, force fed from when they are very young and treated badly. (Thrown around, necks being broken, kicked, etc etc) but not all are like that. What the ------ can we actually do about it though? Basically nothing because people are too damn lazy to check up on places where our meat is raised, to see how they are treated etc, only time ---- happens is when its on tv. (usually). To all the veggies, theres something that has recently come out for you guys, its something that looks like bacon, tastes like bacon but isn't bacon, cool huh? I suggest you don't eat that though because if your a true veggie you wouldn't want to be associated with something that looks like meat, tastes like meat but isn't, i mean... why go out and buy something that looks and tastes like bacon when your a veggie? Makes no damn sense at all. Oh and about dolphins being killed, you better look at Japan/or is it China?(meh can't remember) about that, they are the ones killing the dolphins and putting it on the market as another type of fish, nasty ------ers need to be blown up for doing that ----.
Only bollocks i have seen is from the meat eaters (some, not all). And i let people eat meat, it wasn't us veggies that started this whole thing .. again (although we are the ones who annoy people, let us not forget !!1! <_< ) Tortured in this case is opinion, i guess. For me, keeping them in small places and not letting them be free is bad enough. Then, taking their calves away from them is pure torture imo. "true veggie"? I'd love to eat that. I don't care what it looks like or tastes like.. I eat vegetarian steaks, vegetarian sausages, vegetarian curry etc. As i said, i don't care what it looks or tastes like, its the way it gets produced is what stops me from eating meat. And "makes no damn sense at all".. it makes a lot of sense, if you'd think about it for 0.001 of a second. We stop eating meat, so what are we going to do first? Look for stuff that can "replace" the meat, obviously. I don't hate meat as a product, i hate the way it gets to be a product. Eating any fish is bad. If i was to build 2 hummers the size of a big house and put one at the west side of africa and one at the south side, let them drive towards eachother and not stop for animals, plants etc.. when they'd come together, you'd have a whole lot of dead or dieing animals and a whole lot of ruined plants etc (bad for the environment). Now, if i would do that and somebody would film it all and put it on youtube, there would be a public outcry and people would wanna kill me straight away. But this is exactly what happens in the sea's EVERY day, but because we don't see it, don't feel the consequences straight away or think fish can't feel pain ( <_< ).. we don't care and let it go on day after day.
I have seen bollocks from plenty of people in this thread, like i said and will say again, people should not be judged upon what they eat, if they eat meat then so be it, if they are a veggie then thats good too, makes no difference to me whatsoever. Taking their calves from them i will agree on, thats like taking our babies from us. Yes a true veggie, i was having this discussion with 2 veggies lastnight, they had the same opinion as i did. Why go out and look for something that is vegetarian but tastes like meat? If your going to do that then you may aswel eat meat, i just don't get that at all, i mean, to me and to the guys i was talking to lastnight, it does not make any sense at all. Only thing that i think remotely tastes nice that is vegetarian (that i have tried personally) is veggie burgers. (Which is a surprise for me as i don't eat alot of veg, most of which are in those burgers). Now i see we have gone onto fish, i hardly eat any fish personally, cod and tuna is all i will eat, now you can judge people for eating fish, or eating meat for that matter but you won't stop people from doing so. I watch alot of programs about fishing and crab fishing etc and i have seen no cruelty in any of the ones i have seen. Like crab fishing for instance, the program i currently watch is: The Deadliest Catch, you should watch that and see if you still feel the same way about it. All females caught get thrown back into the sea so that the crabs do not die out, all baby crabs also get thrown back into the sea. I don't see in any way, shape or form how they are mistreated.
If they have the same opinion as you, they are not vegetarians because they are against animal abuse/cruelty. And honestly kirbir, if you'd say that to me in person, i'd probably lose it and slap you right in the face. Did you even read half of my post ? As i said, i don't hate meat.. if there was a way of getting meat without having to kill animals, i'd probably give it a go. Like i said in my post, which i doubt you read (or maybe just didn't understand).. we look for alternatives to meat, duhh, and most vegetarians enjoyed meat before they switched, just like me. Its the whole process of getting the meat which stopped me from eating i. So could you please explain to me how vegetarian "bacon" is the same as real bacon? Did animals have to get bred and killed for the vegetarian bacon? And about the fish, You're judging the whole way of catching fish on a couple of programs? I've been to universities, met scientists etc that can prove what i say is right.
