Well from my experience, lots of graphics (Art and images included) have changed the world over time. If people make designs promoting the right message, the world could be a better place.
I'd assume graphics could change the world in terms of providing a message that would change the world's perception of things. Maybe somehow incorporating starving Africans in a political poster or the issue of police brutality in a flyer. Never know where your limits will be.
Art is an expression of how we feel, and if we could express how society is through art than I think we would come up with some very dark images but, we could use this to try and get people to change their ways. For hundreds of years gov'ts have used art as propaganda to get the public to believe what they want them to, and since we're the ones the create it I think it's our job to shape the public to how they should be.
I don't think graphics can change everyone's perception of the world cause activist muslims don't have that type of access to computers and also the french will never get level headed enough to pull their heads out of their asses long enough to be open minded *PUT DOWN THE BISCOTTI AN MOCHA MY FRIEND* lol but other than that you can send a messege to help the progression of a better world and maybe help change it little by little.
It helps the starving kids not think about food when they look at a random 3D shape edited in photoshop. Yea graphics design really makes the world a better place, not only does it help starving kids it's also prevented rape, child rape, gay rape, robbery, murder, reduce nuclear bombs, and much more.
