Hey everyone, I was wondering if anyone is into Warhammer Online atm, It's coming out in 2008 and Im really excited about it. My parents have forbidden me to play WoW because I was getting addicted! So now Im planning to build up a new addiction. So what do u think of it so far if u've heard about it
im not sure about this game , either for WoW, I heard WoW is coming out with another expansion? I never tried WoW but I heard it was one heck of a game, Warhammer seems just like a fraud of WoW, after I just saw the screen shots
Think ur right and that's why I like it, I like that kind of RPG's and since Im not allowed to play WoW nomore, it pretty much saves me. Warhammer online does have 24 different classes which is pretty unique. And yup WoW is coming with a new expantion -> lvl 80.
Expansion for WoW isn't due for quite a while yet though. Either way, it's not that much of a copy, in the sense that WoW/GW aren't much a copy. Warhammer is far more PVP based.
Warhammer at first is going to be World of Warcraft with a very heavy PvP orient, very little PvE orient, and from what I can tell, so far has very little class development. However, I will remain loyal to WoW if they don't utterly **** up the Sunwell patch and Wrath of the Lich King. If they do botch it though... they can kiss my $15/mo and multiple hundreds of DAYS worth of in game time good bye.
Of course they wont screw it up, u know blizzard (; And yup, Warhammer Online has a huge PvP part, that's why I like it, u can pretty much fight with/against 24 classes which makes it non-stop action
I will totally ignore the fact that you said Warhammer is a copy of WoW.... Anyway, Warhammer is going to be completely epic win. The day it comes out, I'm getting it. I'm not going to be thinking twice about it. It's going to be an absoluety epic game.
Warhammer is sick man. Their quest ideas and everything beats ALL MMO's. You need to watch the videos and stuff. Im waiting for it too! I want it to come out like...NOW!
I will have to see.. Only one I have ever liked was Guild Wars.. WoW is a piece of ---- with the crappy gfx, and annoying super repetitive gameplay... And the payments(I got money, but I dont want to waste my life into it)
Silkroad is complete and utter crap. World of Warcraft would be good, except I don't have the money at the moment to fork up £18/2mo or whatever it is. I'll just keep doing Trials till I can afford it. Warhammer? Don't know, I'll have a check on that now. ~ Astral
All I am hearing is opinions about how much better a game that doesn't even exist nor has a beta test out at the moment is going to beat the single best P2P MMORPG of all time? Its not even being developed by a company generally regarded as making fun games. May as well be World of Tony Hawk Pro Skatercraft - PvP Edition since its being made by EA. The rendering system they are using is minimal better than the one WoW uses, and has been around for 3 years, and in development FAR longer prior to that. The only decent looking trailors they show at the moment are of cinematics, which are intended to 'Wow' you as an individual. So, for anyone claiming that Warhammer is going to blow EVERY MMO out of the water (especially when WoW is by far the single most played game by the most amount of active subscribers, and also in terms of games purchased) provide fact, and not opinion, because nothing, including the companies and the development teams behind the project really shows anything about how it will beat the most played P2P MMORPG in the history of video games thus far, nor has any of the games made by those companies and development teams ever beaten it. As said, it looks like a sub par version of a PvP oriented World of Warcraft.
Demdem, I wub you with mouf, but I would like to let you know, that you are wrong on SEVERAL accounts. 1. There IS a beta out for it at the moment. It's in closed beta, but still a beta nonetheless. 2. Mythic is the ones creating the game, not EA. Mythic is renowned for creating the single best PvP game on the MMO Market, Dark Age of Camelot. It's an old game, but the PvP system is more in-depth and advanced than what any other game currently has. You are right that people are stupid for thinking that it will take down the 800 Pound Gorilla, WoW. It's a game designed for PvP and more specifically RvR. WoW is not based on either, and caters to a whole different demographic of Gamers.
